Forty Fathoms was founded in 1980 By Peter Yvonne and Jonathon Preece, with the idea to improve the quality of Cold Water/Tropical/Marine fish and Aquatic plants avaliable to hobbists in the area. Forty fathoms has now become THE NUMBER ONE leading Aquatics Store in the area

We have travelled around the world to source the best quality livestock from some of the Worlds Top fish farms and collecting stations. These items are then imported by us then rested and conditioned before re-sale. This resting and treatment process means that we are confident that all the livestock we sell are disease free and well conditioned to aquarium life. We try hard to ensure all the products that we sell are the best avalible and at low affordable prices.

We also offer a full after sales service and water testing for all our customers so you can be sure that you and your aqurium are in safe hands.

All of our fish are imported from places all over the world, such as:

Singapore, Sri Lanka, Florida, Hong Kong, South America, The Americas, Africa, Japan and Europe. All fish are then put into quarantined before sold. 

We also support and trade with all local fish breeders along with any advice or equipment they need. We are major stockists of all leading aquatic products with weekly deliveries for special orders so anything you might need is just a phone call away.
